Research Interest
My current main project is COSMIC-FFP- Project
COSMIC-FFP is the most modern, internationally-accepted method of measuring a functional size of software.
‘Functional size’ measures are based purely on the user’s functional requirements for the software. Such size measures are therefore valuable in the early stages of software project estimating and for comparing project performance measures (e.g. productivity = functional size / effort) across software projects using different technologies.
COSMIC-FFP is the only modern functional sizing method designed to work for both business application software and for real-time software, the latter including embedded, infrastructure, communications, avionics, etc, software. It has been successfully applied in all these various domains.
The COSMIC-FFP method was developed by COSMIC, the Common Software Measurement International Consortium, a voluntary co-operation of many of the world’s leading software metrics experts.
Our project is about building Software Functional Size Measurement standard etalons with COSMIC-FFP (ISO 19761). |
