The MBA program develops graduates with:

• Appropriate skills in conceptualizing, organizing, and resolving complex business problems while considering the impact of technology, globalization, emerging markets, and demographic diversity on the organization;

• Awareness of the major challenges facing contemporary global business. For example, the need for innovation, integrity, the ability to manage change, globalization, and effective management of technology;

• Appreciation of teamwork, communication, creativity, decision-making, and strategic planning know-how to apply these abilities in formulating, executing, and evaluating organizational initiatives and decision-making processes.

Our MBA program provides students with the opportunity to develop and apply professional skills in areas critical to managerial leadership in today’s competitive business environment.

All courses emphasize learning through application as well as through theoretical conceptualization. Teaching methods include case studies, lectures, seminars, field study, simulations, and independent work. Work problems are frequently assigned to groups of students rather than to individuals, thus giving students experience in working as part of a team to achieve a common solution.

1. 3.0 CPGA (out of 4.0 point scale or its established equivalent) is required for admission to graduate programs.

2.      Probationary admittance may be granted to:

a.      A student with CGPA of 2.5 or higher and a TOEFL score of 530, or its equivalent using a standardized test approved by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MHESR), may be provisionally admitted to a Master’s program provided the following:

                                                               i.      The student achieves a TOEFL score of 550 by the end of the first semester.

                                                             ii.      The student takes maximum of six (6) credit hours in the first semester during which they also take intensive English whereby they must achieve an average score of B in the credit courses taken.

                                                            iii.      If either provision is not met, the student is dismissed.

b.       A student with a CGPA between 2.5 and 2.99 and a TOEFL score of 550, or its equivalent using a standardized test approved by MHESR, can take a maximum of 9 credit hours in the first semester. He/she must achieve a semester average score of B in the credit courses taken to continue in the program. If not, the student is dismissed.

3.      Mature entry admission: An institution may submit a proposal to the MHESR for mature entry students who do not meet the stated GPA requirement but where there has been at least 8 years lap since the Baccalaureate degree was obtained but where there has been at least 5 years lap since the Baccalaureate degree was obtained, provided they meet the English proficiency requirements.

A TOEFL score of 550, IELTS score of 6.0, or the equivalent of another standardized test approved by the MHESR is required of all students admitted to a Master’s program with the following exceptions:

• A native speaker of English who has completed his/her undergraduate education in an English medium institution in a country where English is the official language.

• A student admitted to and graduated from an English medium institution that can provide evidence of acquiring a TOEFL score of 500, or its standardized equivalent approved by the MHESR, upon admission to the undergraduate program.

MBA courses are offered during the Fall (September - December) and Spring (January - April) Semesters. Summer (May - June/July - August) semesters are for students to complete the MBA Foundation courses. To accommodate the schedules of working professionals, the program is offered in the evening, with some opportunities to take classes on Thursdays. Students, who are employed full time, are advised to take nine semester hours or fewer during any four-month period.

MBA Foundation—The MBA Foundation level courses provide a comprehensive general business education and serve as the groundwork for advanced study. MBA students must complete the following courses either as undergraduate students or prior to enrolling in the MBA .

The minimum entry requirement into the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) from a recognized university or institution of higher learning. Graduates of other degree programs will be admitted into the MBA program after completing the MBA Foundation courses. Applicants should have an over all GPA average of 3.00 or equivalent. It is recommended that applicants have two years of work experience.
