1. 3.0 CPGA (out of 4.0 point scale or its established equivalent) is required for admission to graduate programs.
2. Probationary admittance may be granted to:
a. A student with CGPA of 2.5 or higher and a TOEFL score of 530, or its equivalent using a standardized test approved by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MHESR), may be provisionally admitted to a Master’s program provided the following:
i. The student achieves a TOEFL score of 550 by the end of the first semester.
ii. The student takes maximum of six (6) credit hours in the first semester during which they also take intensive English whereby they must achieve an average score of B in the credit courses taken.
iii. If either provision is not met, the student is dismissed.
b. A student with a CGPA between 2.5 and 2.99 and a TOEFL score of 550, or its equivalent using a standardized test approved by MHESR, can take a maximum of 9 credit hours in the first semester. He/she must achieve a semester average score of B in the credit courses taken to continue in the program. If not, the student is dismissed.
3. Mature entry admission: An institution may submit a proposal to the MHESR for mature entry students who do not meet the stated GPA requirement but where there has been at least 8 years lap since the Baccalaureate degree was obtained but where there has been at least 5 years lap since the Baccalaureate degree was obtained, provided they meet the English proficiency requirements.
